New Bookkeeper Joins CJSA


Farmington, CT-- The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) announced today that Terry Gillan joined its office staff Monday, February 17th as part-time Bookkeeper.

The Bethel, CT resident will be responsible for the daily preparation and processing of all regular financial statements, reconciliations and associated accounting functions for the CJSA’s seven administrative districts as well as its long-time state offices in Farmington.

Gillan, who is also an internationally recognized Irish dance teacher and event organizer, has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of accounting including payroll, bookkeeping and financial administration. Before coming to the US, he served as the Financial Controller for one of Ireland’s leading insurance agencies.

He replaces Judy Whelan who, after a short transition period, will be joining the newly formed Connecticut State Referee Program (CSRP) as its new, fulltime Executive Director. Details of Whelan’s new activities, including contact information and her duties with the state’s new organization that has nearly 3,500 member referees, will be posted soon.

The CJSA is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization whose mission is to serve the coaches, administrators and volunteers who help oversee its 70,000 member youth soccer players under the age of 19 across the State of Connecticut.
